The Sunshine Street Team is a dynamic program designed to enrich the St. Petersburg experience by connecting visitors with knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers.
Our mission is to:
Our trained, friendly Sunshine Street Team members mobilize in the downtown waterfront parks and along Beach Drive and Central Avenue every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during November – May from 11am to 3pm. We provide directional, entertainment and cultural center guidance to city visitors from near and far. Each one-on-one welcoming encounter reflects our desire to help others discover all St. Petersburg has to offer.
You can pick us out in a crowd by our bright, happy yellow t-shirts and big smiles!
The Sunshine Street Team is managed by Rhonda Sanborn and Tami Simms as co-leaders, and Karin Edmiston as Volunteer Engagement Coordinator.
